Dad Gift - Never Fail Gift Strategies

by Gary S. Stinson

Are you having difficulty finding a birthday or Christmas gift for dad? Many people complain that dads are the hardest members of the family to shop for. But finding the perfect day gift doesn't need to be a challenge. There are simple strategies that you can use for finding the perfect dad gift.

The purpose of this article is to share three strategies that I use to find the perfect Dad gift. It doesn't matter if you are looking for a birthday gift for dad or are looking for Christmas gift ideas for dad. The strategies are the same. This year, get him something that he will love and use for years to come.

When it comes to selecting an interesting and unique dad gift, I like to use three strategies. These strategies don't necessarily cover all possible dad gifts, but they do help you zero in on one that he is sure to like.

My first dad gift strategy is to think about what your dad loves to do. What does he like to do in his free time? What does he do for fun. What are his hobbies. When you know this, simply look for gift ideas that help him find new ways to enjoy the things that he loves. Think of ways to enhance his fun. For example, if he loves watching sports, a new TV or surround sound system would enhance his enjoyment. If he likes to fish, a new fishing pole or perhaps even a fishing trip would add to his fun.

The next never-fail dad gift strategy is sort of the opposite of the first. Look for activities and chores that your dad doesn't enjoy but knows that he needs to get done. Then find a gift that helps him accomplish these unpleasant tasks in easier and faster ways. An example of a dad gift in this category is just about any power tool or yard tool. Examples include a new chain saw to help cut down a pile of brush, or perhaps a snow thrower machine to quickly clear a driveway on a cold snowy morning.

My third strategy takes a little thought and planning, but it pays off big time. Everyone, dads included, have their own little fantasies of things they've always wanted to experience in life. This could be anything from driving a race car, to sky diving, being a cowboy, or swinging a pitches in a baseball stadium. The most memorable dad gift will be one that helps your dad experience one of these life dreams.

Those are my three favorite ways to find the perfect dad gift. Quite simply, all you have to do is to find gifts that help your dad enjoy is favorite things even more. Or you can find ways to help him get the stuff he doesn't like to do done in an easier and faster way. Or the final alternative is to help your dad get closer to the experiences he as always wanted to have. - 39969
