Christmas is Coming - Great Christmas Ideas for Looking Fabulous

by James Matterson

The amount of organisation needed at Christmas can be a little overwhelming for even the most serious of planners. Food, decorations and presents are three of many things that need sorting out, so it can be difficult to find the time to do anything for yourself. However, if you do manage to find some time, then one of the best things to do could be to pamper yourself and get yourself ready for looking good atChristmas.

One of the keys to looking good is to have hair that looks good. Whether you have short hair, long hair, curly or straight hair - if it looks clean, shiny and healthy it does offer a boost to self esteem. A top tip to ensure that your hair is looking good over the festive period is to not over wash it. Try to wash your hair every other day, this will stop it drying out and becoming unmanageable but also keep it looking healthy and keep all essential nutrients locked in.

One of the next most important facial features when it comes to looking great is the eyebrows. Great eyebrows will frame the face and accentuate the overall look. For some tweezers are enough, but for those looking for that little bit extra permanent eyebrows are often the choice. Permanent eyebrows usually work on a hair-by-hair basis, each hair will be shaped and coloured, hair can even be added if required. This is one treatment that has been a secret of the stars for years and is only now starting to become more available.

Lips are also at the centre of most people's beauty regime and most people long for lips with more volume, or for them to be as full of colour and defined as they used to be. Permanent treatments are available for adding colour to the lips, but a quick tip for giving yours a pre-Christmas boost is to give them a light scrub with an old toothbrush. This will remove any bits of dry skin or flakiness, then moisturise afterwards with your favourite lip balm.

If you are looking to play down your make-up during the daytime then going for a more natural look will be the order of the day. The biggest tip here is to keep things simple across your brows, eyes and lips, think less is more! Keep to soft natural colours and you won't go too far wrong.

If you are going to be in for a busy Christmas this year then don't forget about yourself. Even if it is just a spare afternoon to pamper yourself, or a couple of hours having a hair or make-up treatment, you will feel the benefits and feel better for it in the long run.
